so i'm 4 days late. so what's new?

i wrote this about 5 days back.never got to put it up. its the procrastinator in me i tell you!
and yes, not forgetting the wonky internet connection.

The best Christmas gift that one can ever receive is for someone to accept Christ.
Yes, so i didn't find out until a week later. but yes, Christmas is suppose to last for 14 days anyway, not 12,but 14, or so Mithele Cheh says : /

My new year's resolution.

So for 2007, no more doing everything/anything on my own strength.

2006 was so-so.Am quite dissapointed with myself really.

Note to self:
Material wealth will only bring about temporary satisfaction.
These things, they don't last. A month or two maybe, then you'll start wanting more.

I've found the greatest gift that anyone could ever give.
You will have no idea, until you've experienced it for yourself.
It really is better than getting 'high' on drugs.
Not that I have tried any for that matter.
It really is better than having the latest mobile phone in your hands. You know the one you've been waiting patiently for, for almost half a year now.

Oh wow, God has been awesome to me this year (06').

Firstly, college. Met tons of really really really really cool/wonderful/great people.

Friends whom I want to keep for life.

You know who you all are.

And even those acquaintances, glad to have met you all.

Looking back, I have no idea how I went through it all. With all the projects, common tests, all going on at the same time, its a miracle really, how I survived them all.

For the really great teachers I got. wow.

For the 'suprise' results. Oh do refer back to my old posts, the ones way back to November.

Really didn't expect it.

For an awesome family.

For Him just taking care of everything.

Iknow I'm in good hands. I don't have to be afraid of what 2007 holds for me. Cause' I know He's in control.

If He loves me, I'm pretty darn sure that He loves you too.

i'm leaving on a jetplane.

don't know when i'll be back again.

even if my departure is scheduled for sometime next year,i'll still be terrorising everyone out there, albeit through cyberspace : /

so i had my first taste of pork knuckles. i always found the thought of eating pig's feet to be disgusting. but it looked good yesterday!it was like 'siew yok' or roast pork as we all know it. so i had/was tempted to try some. it was yummy.kinda larh.except i had too much pork, i felt the need to lay of pork for the rest of the year.

but today afternoon, i had this really huge craving for barbequed pork and roast pork : / but yes, i did not succumb! three cheers for me!haha. oh yes, i tried their sausage platter. nuremberg. bratswurst.blablabla.

mom's and pop's says they won't be going there in a long while.not up to their expectations it seems. i wouldn't know. the first time i tried pork knuckles!mom's and pop's prefer the real German kind.the one boiled in sauerkraut till its tender.juicy.fill in the blanks.so do tell if you know of a place to have good ol' fashioned pork knuckles.

and the sausages. they all looked different, but they all tasted the same. : /maybe there's something wrong with my tastebuds. who know's?

and i baked a cake!i baked a cheesecake!haha.it turned out bad.i didn't have to throw it away but still...

no, i'm not talking about the normal everyday deck of cards we have at home.

its more like racial cards i'm referring to.

i know this is a very sensitive subject to write about but i feel very strongly about it.

i've been very fortunate to have been brought up and to be exposed to Malaysia's multi-cultural society since i was 7. i have always had close friends from the other races. i still remember my best friend in standard 3 was Alia whom i found out not too long ago was in Hartamas.haha.have been wondering where she menghilangkan diri too after so long. then in form 2 i was very close to Gaya : p so i really am speaking from the heart.

so the racial issue has cropped up once again. People never let go huh?

i was very dissapointed with what Dr. Chua said. You know, the MCA guy :/
yea fine. i know its a fact that political party AGM's are usually racially charged. but to stop airing these meetings as they happen live will only worsen relations with other races.what's worse is when Dr. Chua admitted that these meetings are 'racially-charged'. I know as the elected representives you have the interests of your respective race to keep in mind, but i still think you have to keep your emotions in check. Every politician should steer clear from extremism/sensationalism/whatever else. Instead of demanding for more, and accusing each other or pointing fingers at one another or even try to take credit for Malaysia's development, we should instead be using the time to promote unity. we are after all Malaysians. We made Malaysia for what is now. It is not the work of one particular race. We did it together. Regardless of how much I complain about Malaysia, about local councils incompetence, the waste of public funds, which of course where a lot more work hasto be done, i am proud to be a Malaysian and i hope we'll continue to work together as one.

so i had a bad week. what with my phone suddenly ringing halfway through my english paper. and the horrible math paper i had to sit through. i actually felt myself turn red from the pressure.

what a great way to end a bad day.

regardless of all that may have happened this week. i'm not going to jump of the kl tower, or even the 8th floor of Times Square. yes, i know worse things have happened to people and my 'problems' are far from real problems.
but so far, this week has been one of my worsts in life.

but yes, looking on the brighter side of things. i shall only consider these as minor setbacks in life.

you know how i used to be so disappointed with my seniors from cf whenever they returned for meetings in school, and i asked them whether they attended cf in their respective colleges and all i got was a no. or the times, where i got really dissapointed when i found out that a Christian friend of mine is not at all involved in cf in their school. it just dawned upon me that i'm exactly one of those people who i used to disappointed with.yea, so i need another word to replace dissapointed.

i used to think it would be natural of someone who used to participate so actively in cf to continue doing so in college/university, but i guess i was wrong. and i used to tell myself that i'm not going to drop out of cf just like they did. but i did exactly just that.

i know we all have our respective church/youth group and all. but i think we really need to have a 'support group' thing going on in school/college/wherever we are.Besides, cf commitee's need all the support that they can get. the times spent together working as a cf commitee or just as a part of the group is a wonderful experience.and of course getting influenced by other's infectious passion for Christ is another reason for someone to join cf.

the year's ending. and 2007 is just slightly more 2 months away. but its never too late!: p

So now the blame game starts. Our dear MB says he has no idea of the deal. A few days later, he retracted what he said earlier and now he says that its his deputy or whoever beneath him who was the one who signed the contract. he had no part of it. :/

so i just got back from chee cheong kai or better known as petaling street (ps)
teehee.

for some weird reason, i really love kl.i love feeling like a tourist. i could have been one. except i was dumb enough not to bring the camera out today. it was a good time to take pictures cause there weren't that many people around ps today.
from the kwai lo's traipsing down the streets in their flip flops with 5 year olds in tow to the saudi arabians and their burkhas's even though its a friggin 30 degrees out there.
i really love the old colonial buildings. which sadly enough, most of them have been torn down to make way for cold steel towers.

so what i found really amusing or really hypocritical during my trip to ps today is the fact that there are big yellow signboards announcing:-
DILARANG MENJUAL BARANGAN CETAK ROMPAK in Petaling Street.
go figure :/

drats*. if only i had brought my camera out with me. i would have taken a picture of it.

and maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me, or blame it on the fact that i wasn't wearing my glasses, but i think, *i think* i saw a dbkl officer (he was in his uniform, and it looked strangely familiar, like that of a municipal council's officer's uniform) looking at some fake watches at a stall in ps. haha. but, i may be wrong.

and i guess its safe to say, from the observations that my parents and i have made, kwai lo's only know how to order/eat:-
1) fried rice
2) sweet and sour pork

so i only came back from ps with something for someone.biscuits (was it lo po peng? i forgot) and mandarin oranges from australia : / was so tempted to buy this pair of pink vans shoes which i saw.do you know how hard it is to get vans around here in pj??!! so far, the only shop known to me which sells vans is studio 78 in one utama.and they don't carry much. :/ but i *fink* its fake and what in the world am i going to wear with pink sneakers?!! but it was really cheap larh. only RM 30. and i so wanted to get a mr. bean bear!! but then again, what's an 18 year old going to do with a soft toy?

today, little red riding hood a.k.a eejeRn decided to walk to the back of her house to get lunch.or else tum tum would have been deprived of food.tsk.and she's not so heartless as to allow such a thing to happen. and she's only walked to the back alone.hmm.let's see. only 8 times. and she's been living here in ss2 for the past 17+ years.talk about being a brat larh.tsk.

so here i am. to tell my story. i'm much more of an experienced person now. no more the 5 year old i was an hour ago. i'm more like 10 now.after walking through those back alleys. i'm prepared for the worst.

mum and dad made it back safely from an old cell-group reunion thing at aunty jane's house.everybody was there.well, except for me.hmph. i was studying.or was suppose to. aheh. i did study larh!but i really did wish i went for the thing. and as if it wasn't bad enough, the parents came back saying the food was good. fine, it's also partly my fault. ok . fine i admit. its my fault.its not as if my mumee.dadee. didn't allow me to go. i used my midterms as an excuse so that i didn't have to go. you see, you can't blame me.i thought it was going to be horribly boring .oh how wrong i was. may jun was there(my neighbour whom i used to hang out with every weekend until she was to mature for me.or maybe i was too immature for her.aheh.but she moved and i haven't seen her in 2 years!) .all the kiddies were there.fine, no longer kids.more like teens.preeteens.adults.fun-nyeerr. *smacks head*

surprise surprise..the 'musikal' turned out really good!
except for the not so organised dancing and the horrible subtitles.
did you know ledang when translated into english is mount ophir ?hmm.didn't know that either.
music was superb.i'll rate it a 9 /10 !honestly it was that good!
kudos to the 29 yr old conductor.heh.
the storyline is actually different compared to what we've read in our bm lit.

the notes i have amassed over this past 2 yrs. woh!

its kinda sad really, having to dispose off my books and what-nots. the stories they tell, the memories.hmm..this is going to be a sappy one.

i actually made it to the prom yesterday. after a frantic one week of looking for a dress.went to ou 3 days in a row!had fun though.although it did get a tad boring at times.im not going to say much bout the prom. it was ok. im sure others will be blogging about it soon enough.the cakes were really good though. Yumm.

i expected myself to get all teary-eyed and everything during graduation.but i didn't really feel anything actually. well, maybe towards the end.
but yesterday, at the prom, i just felt really sad.

i wont be seeing a lot of these ppl anymore.farah phat, michele cheh, tan vee vien, didi, cla , drill,min, tasneem. im so gonna miss all of them.
