The Man on The Bench.

I know that feeling all too well.

The man,
He clutches his sides in agony.
The wind, his body orchestrates a bereaved harmony,
His eyes they turn to the clear blue skies,
solace he pleas, but they're deaf to his cries.

Courage I gathered,
A footstep too soon I faltered,
Our eyes as they meet,
My heart begins to weep.

I bow my head, eyes to my feet,
I hurried on by.
Perhaps I was his answer,
but to this stranger I was shy.

Yellow Submarine.

The perils of a cabbie running a late night shift.

From the 13th floor at 3.30 a.m., I hear loud thuds, sure is strange for someone to be having a baseball game out on the streets on this cold night eh? My eyes search the street below, keen to be a 'spectator' of the 'game' unfolding.

Finally, my far from perfect 20/20 vision lands sight of the players at one of the bases.
A little too late, as they run for lives after hitting a home run.

The battered victim walks away shame faced, making a quick getaway from the maddening 'crowd'.

****

I hope Mr Indian student who came to Australia searching for a better future after being lied to by unscrupulous migration agents is doing alright : /

Oh happy day!

I wish for 24 degrees tops summer days whenever I watch this.

Mates.

Background:

Simon: Paul Samuelson was once challenged to name one proposition in all of the social sciences which is both true and non-trivial. His answer was comparative advantage.

Now, my answer, though I'm not Samuelson, would have been the VCG Mechanism.

* * *

At this point, my mind drifts away to the man boob jokes, the excessive porn-age I've been forced to listen to, tofu burger wagers on the footy attendance, and paying out the white boys who don't do bubble tea.

What, Week 11 already?
I'm missing first semester already : (

P.S. I've only recently realised I've got a lot of 'Simon Says'. I shall make a formal introduction of this mysterious Simon person at the end of this semester : )

Got you at your own game.

Music your parents would listen to.

Plain vanilla acoustic guitar-ing,
With that surprise centre!
Its like those butter cakes, mostly ever underrated.

Lectures.

Simon - This is the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Now, you can impress your mom.

Simon - Should I work this out on the board? I don't want to embarass myself.

Simon - Now, if I were a good lecturer I would be able to proove this.

Friday micro lectures are the best!

You've got to meet my friend, Dave.

At the Honours computer lab.
Background chatter: How pushing back assignment deadlines = rent seeking

Me: I'm sick of all this Economics talk. I need to befriend more blondes.
Dave: Oh. (stares into computer screen). Oh right. Dumb blondes you mean. Whoops, that was redundant.
Well, I've been hanging out with dumb blondes. (stares intently at me) And she doesn't even look like one.

OOH BURN.

He's the man!

'Don't stop believing'
Mayer, was singing straight out from Glee!

Regardless, he's incredibly good live!
Possibly made better from the mid section of the third row ; )

Perkasa.

http://www.thenutgraph.com/real-deal-perkasa

I'm just stunned at the things this man is spurting.
Not the Article 153 of the Constitution or the threat of the Sedition Act, nothing new with those.
But his economic principles, all fallacies!
Not a single show of substance.
He's feeding 60,000 - 70, 000 with emotional driven propaganda, and they're all just feeding off him!

This is worst than any horror show!

Are you proud to be a Malaysian?

I was going through a Merdeka Center PM approval rating report, and I noticed a very disturbing trend.

A large proportion of Malaysian Chinese are answering don't know to the survey questions posed.
Feigning ignorance or could it be an inherent 'I can't be effed attitude' because I'm ditching this joint for a better one?

hmm.

Oh I've answered my own question, or rather Merdeka Center did.

In another poll, where respondents were asked 'Are you proud to be a Malaysian?'
Compared to the 98% of Malays and Indians who answered yes, only 73% of the Chinese interviewed agreed.

hooooboy.
