Yet Another.

Its now 2, and I'm one for early nights, for early days.

But tonight's different. I'm not kept awake by urgent 'to-do's.
Neither am I particularly ticked off with myself that I'm not in REM sleep at this hour.
I'm relishing the dark skies + the gentle breeze + crickets (are they really crickets? I've never seen one in my life!)
My mind's abuzz with 'revelations' if you wanted to give it a name.
I'm more than happy to share with you in person, if you'ld like.
Give me a 'tinkle' as my momma would say.

Also did you realise I've been more open lately?
Must be the summer nights.
I really must collate date, plug binary (of course!) data into eviews to generate a function for my mood-swings. A model to determine significant contributing factors for me to manipulate the significant variables to ensure consistent 'OH HAPPY DAY' moments!

GEEK.

TGIF.

I'm so relieved the weekend's here!
I've finally handed in my research essay topic proposal.
I'm more than happy to discuss utility maximisation functions with you, if you'll like to hear about my foray into the alien world of political economics.
BTW, utility maximisation functions is just economic speak for

'happiness'.

To make you regulars feel more inferior than you already are to greyhaired milton friedman wannabees'.

For now, I'll treat myself to a leisurely stroll in the park and maybe, a swim after.
and maybe,
Perhaps I'll sneak in a 8 hour sleep tonight.

Switched On.

I can't turn the lights in my head out.

Try having a 40watt bulb beamed in your face,

Feel the heat now?

Is This Life?

1 application down, and only but a gazillion to go.
Only week 3 and my days are spent at the library.

I'm not complaining, I'm just writing to tell you,

The Story of My Life.

In the words of Beethoven,
Muss Es Sein?

Es Muss Sein!

Your Turn!

The insides of my ears are all crusty.

Now, that's all you have to guess where I've been and what I've done today.

Chalking up the obscure posts count as we go! :)

Okay, fine, for safe measure, here's another:
Fibreglass or Foam, Width, Floatation Device.

and that my friends, is all you have!

not meant to be.

oh boohoo.

Stereophonics is coming to town!
And I'm going to have to give it a miss,

AGAIN.

My Life in 12 hours.

Ya know how you've heard them folks say 'I've seen one too many things in my day',

Well for someone who's barely lived to a quarter of a century, 'I've seen one too many things in A day'.

From domestic disputes involving police + ambulance + cordoned lifts awaiting blood splatter clean up to 3 hoodlums smashing car windows dead in the night.

This ain't no Bronx or PJ for that matter, its upper middle class South Melbourne : /

I'm waiting for them to wheel out em idiots.

In Retrospect.

The last cheesytillyougag post was typed in a state of near-drunkenness.

But I do really like my lecturer to be able to speak of her so fondly in mid-sleep.

Anyway, here's an update for you!
I'm struggling to establish some form of discipline/routine in my life.
Been living it too haphazardly in the past week.

Change.

I'm back before 1 am on a Friday night during the school semester.
Ahh bittersweet.

Something good came out from being late to class today!
Kind lady flashed her pearly whites. My momma taught me to be polite, so I had to stop for a chat. A lecturer from two semesters before, she actually remembered who I was!I wasn't just another one of those pesky Asians floating around campus these days.

She may not be another Borland, or Freebairn frequent media commentator academic types, but she sure had character that lady. You saw the passion in her eyes!

Now, that's what I call inspiring.

So I wrote her a thank you email : )

An Education.

The Story of My Summer.

Lesson 1:

Family as I count,
More numerous than thought,
Vanishing blood distinctions,
Bound by past, present and future collisions.

Lesson 2:

A commitment.
Emotions obligate,
To walk, to run, to work out together our fates

Lesson 3:

Hands that are dealt,
Play with intelligence and stealth

Lesson 4:

Independence as much as we strive,
Accomplishments to feed our burgeoning pride,
The fall from world's grace we slave to stave,
All counts as lost at the grave.

HURL.

I feel sick.

No, its not a physical ailment, its a heart condition.

The grass is always greener on the other side.
I know, because I sang the song, have always desired her tuff of orange curls, if not for myself for my very own child.
