IMO.

Turning to the 'rakyat' for a more 'inclusive' budget, what a populist politician overused joke!

I am concerned that you have spent your time in office reading obvious blogger's comments on your tech-savvy blog, because it speaks volumes of your advisers if you saw fit to micro-manage as if you have.

Ailing Dog Old Tricks

Does Talent Corp Malaysia sound familiar?

Because it is!

A repeat of the 'Brain Drain' program introduced way back in 1995!

AHAH! My most significant discovery from my night of research.

The Least Free Places on Earth: 2010

We may one day see the Twin Towers featured here.

Idiot Pollies.

Are you expecting a pat on the back, and a gold star dear sir?
You obese individual, give him a home already. You're not doing anyone any favours by being patronising and enquiring of his well-being. You're probably going to call in late to work the next day aren't you?

Yes, I think the world will be a better place without obese individuals.

Perkasa.

http://www.thenutgraph.com/real-deal-perkasa

I'm just stunned at the things this man is spurting.
Not the Article 153 of the Constitution or the threat of the Sedition Act, nothing new with those.
But his economic principles, all fallacies!
Not a single show of substance.
He's feeding 60,000 - 70, 000 with emotional driven propaganda, and they're all just feeding off him!

This is worst than any horror show!

Are you proud to be a Malaysian?

I was going through a Merdeka Center PM approval rating report, and I noticed a very disturbing trend.

A large proportion of Malaysian Chinese are answering don't know to the survey questions posed.
Feigning ignorance or could it be an inherent 'I can't be effed attitude' because I'm ditching this joint for a better one?

hmm.

Oh I've answered my own question, or rather Merdeka Center did.

In another poll, where respondents were asked 'Are you proud to be a Malaysian?'
Compared to the 98% of Malays and Indians who answered yes, only 73% of the Chinese interviewed agreed.

hooooboy.

another one bites the dust.

As my eyes swim in that sea of words they call the NEM framework,

I feel like baulking from the nauseating stench of denial + arrogance.
But that's only the first page out of a 100+ page document.
So I'll give this case a rest for the mo.
I'll report back soon!

Dunce Award.

Najib Awarded ASEAN Transformational Leader Award

Tay [Asean Business Forum president] said that Najib, during his tenure as defence minister, went about transforming the Malaysian Armed Forces with his focus on total quality management.

As education minister, Najib oversaw the liberalisation of Malaysian education with his approvals for more private colleges and for initiating a new Education Act which many education ministers had attempted to introduce but were unable to do so, she said.

Quit playing games with my heart.

I don't know whether to laugh or to cry.

From 'In Brief,' The Age, 19 November 2009,

Malaysia's deputy education minister Mohd Puad Zarkashi has said that speaking English in the workplace is 'weird' and harmful to the nation's culture.

'This [employees in the private sector used English 99 percent of the time] also occurs in government linked companies where we have this weird culture of people speaking to each other in English' he said at the launch of a linguistics seminar. 'We are polluting our own culture and identity as a nation'.

Alarm Bells!

This escaped my attention last year.

This is what you get from mainstream newspapers,

Sarawak to Build 12 Dams to meet Future Power Needs
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/7/23/nation/21894319&sec=nation

This, they choose to ignore,

‘Green’ dams hasten rape of Borneo forests
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/asia/article5908207.ece

I'm not the most eloquent of speechwriters, so I can only go 'wthwthwthwth'.

I am aware of environmentalists and their 'extremists' predispositions,
but,
12 dams in Sarawak when you've made a white elephant out of the Bakun Dam,
no weaker excuse than this to make more money for yourself Taib.

How tempting it is, to go 'screw you and your cronies', but I shall restrain.
breathjennybreathe.

Oh, I only realised this 3 days ago whilst researching for my paper,
The great divide between West and East Malaysians.
This I will save for another day.

~~~
It just hit me,
My dad once told me of how a friend of his was blacklisted from entering Sarawak, because of how he was a anti-logging protester/activist of sorts,
If I recall correctly, it came as a warning from my claims as a 15 year old, that one day, 'I'm going to save the forests of Borneo'.
ahh, the naivety in my speech.
Its never too late.
all these walkabouts,
wasted time trying to blend in as a 'commoner' of sorts,
the rakyat's woes couldn't be anymore obvious,
we don't need you to play tourist in your own backyard,
taking lrt rides,
i think i speak for most when i say your time is better spent in your cushy airconditioned office attempting to solve our problems.
